Movie Review : Bachaana

Hi everyone! Just a little note before we get into this post. I'm sorry for neglecting this blog, but I have been very busy with school. After all, I am just 11 years old. I will try to be more active in the blog now.

Onto the review now :)

Today I went to watch the much awaited Pakistani movie released by Hum Films, Bachaana, starring Sanam Saeed, Adeel Hashmi and Mohib Mirza, produced and directed by Nasir Khan and Rizwan Saeed.

What a fantastic movie! The plot was somewhat predictable but the twists and turns make you want to keep watching.

The plot of the movie is :
A bubbly Indian girl named Aalia (Sanam Saeed) in trouble is forced by circumstances involving her husband Jhangir 'J' (Adeel Hashmi) to place her faith in a Pakistani cab driver, Vicky (Mohib Mirza), who she meets by chance in Mauritius Airport, who then takes it upon himself to make Aalia's safe return to India possible. Along the way, the two find themselves in a whirlwind of narcotics, illegally fast driving, secrets and of course, romance.

The thing I liked best about the movie was the humour. Any movie with hilarious moments is a favourite of mine, and Bachaana was no exception! The script is full of witty and sarcastic jokes, mostly made by Mirza, leaving the audience in fits of laughter. Adeel Hashmi's performance as the villain is commendable although I kept thinking of Ufone ads whenever he came on screen. I'm a big big fan of Sanam ever since I saw Grease, and she pulls off her character very well in the movie.
The movie is quite action-packed, with twist after twist, although the plot could probably be predicted in the beginning. You have to agree with me on this one, desi movies are somewhat all the same. The characters and script make the difference.

A thriller and suspense comedy, as well as a love story, this movie is an excellent watch in my opinion. The soundtrack is also amazing, the catchy title song is still stuck in my head! The movie has a clean script and is family-friendly.
